February 25, 2021, 7:30pm EST – Women in Horror reading

UPDATE! If you want to watch our reading, check it out at bit.ly/SyossetWiHMreading

The New York Chapter of the Horror Writers Association (HWA), in partnership with the Syosset Public Library, is pleased to present an evening of horror in celebration of Women in Horror Month (WiHM)! Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. (Eastern)

Please join HWA-NY members Meghan Arcuri, April Grey, and Carol Gyzander, as well as special guest and HWA Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Linda Addison, for some scary stories, Q&A, and a lot of fun! Carol even made a short video showing five women in horror that each of us recommend.

The HWA is a nonprofit organization of writers and publishing professionals around the world, dedicated to promoting dark literature and the interests of those who write it. We have chapters across the country (including in NY, L.A., Atlanta, Pittsburgh) and across the globe (including in India, Ireland, Italy).

Women in Horror Month (WiHM) is an international, grassroots initiative focused on encouraging supporters to learn about and showcase the underrepresented work of women in the horror industries. Whether they are at the keyboard, on the screen, behind the scenes, or contributing in their other various artistic ways, it is clear that women love, appreciate, and contribute to the horror genre.
